Job Description

Join a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional care in Cardiovascular and Vascular Surgery. The primary patient population consists of individuals recovering from open heart surgeries, thoracic lung surgeries, and other vascular procedures. This unit also caters to overflow medical cardiology patients with various diagnoses, providing comprehensive care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage postoperative care for patients recovering from cardiovascular and vascular surgeries.
• Oversee telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications and therapies as ordered, including IV infusions and epidural management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have stepdown and telemetry experience.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Preferred experience with cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients within the last year.
• CVICU experience is a plus.
