Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care for antepartum patients, assist laboring patients through childbirth, support recovery and postpartum care, and offer lactation education and assistance. Providing family-centered care including well newborns and Level 2 Nursery is essential. The ideal candidate will ensure expert, compassionate, and individualized nursing care while collaborating with providers and other team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily patient flow to optimize care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Triage incoming patient requests for services effectively.
- Deliver patient education to facilitate care plans and promote optimal wellness.
- Delegate care in accordance with Colorado statute.
- Demonstrate competent healthcare assessment, prioritizing, and critical thinking skills.
- Handle a high volume of telephone requests for medications and information.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Coordinate patient care with physician practices and other entities as needed.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while delivering excellent service based on Relationship-Based Care principles.
- Model principles of Just Culture and Organizational Values.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- One year of clinical experience is required.
- Must hold an Associate Nursing Degree for positions hired after 07/01/2018.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Colorado or valid compact state required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
