Job Description

The Electrophysiology Specialist delivers direct patient care within the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab and Catheterization Lab. This role is instrumental in providing high-quality, safe, and effective patient care through comprehensive assessment, strategic planning, diligent evaluation, medication administration, and timely intervention.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic, interventional, and acute procedures while maintaining strict asepsis.
• Prepare specialty electrophysiology equipment for accurate diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Utilize knowledge of physiologic monitoring and EP-specific systems to monitor patient conditions.
• Provide care in the circulating role during elective and emergency procedures, ensuring quality outcomes.
• Support efficient departmental operations by assisting in multiple departmental functions.
• Apply effective communication practices when collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS certifications.
• CCI RCIS and CCI RCES certifications required.
• Experience with arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, insertion/programming of AICDs, and tilt table studies.
• Preferred experience in cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and conduction studies.
