Job Description

This position is responsible for caring for antepartum patients, laboring patients through childbirth, recovery, and postpartum, as well as providing lactation education and assistance. The role includes family-centered care for the well newborn and the Level 2 Nursery. The LDRP RN will ensure expert, compassionate, and individualized nursing care for patients and families, collaborating with providers, staff, and other team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Caring for antepartum and laboring patients through childbirth.
• Providing postpartum care and lactation education to new mothers.
• Delivering family-centered care including the well newborn and Level 2 Nursery responsibilities.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers and team members for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• One-year clinical experience required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain necessary computer skills within 90 days.
• Minimum of Associate Nursing Degree for positions hired after 07/01/2018.
