6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, Every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Progressive Care Unit is an inpatient overflow unit that accommodates a mixed level of care, including medical surgical and step-down patients. This unit focuses on short-stay patients (24-hour length of stay) and has a quick turnover rate. Staff will monitor patients using telemetry equipment, and all patients requiring telemetry monitoring will be hardwired to bedside monitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a progressive care environment.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously, including those requiring telemetry.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Telemetry competency is required.
• Progressive care experience is mandatory.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
