Emergency Room Nurse - Night Shift

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend work required: 3 weekends (Friday to Sunday) per 4-week schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our team at a Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience and must be comfortable managing a high patient volume with ratios typically ranging from 1:5 to 1:8.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Utilize EPIC charting system for patient documentation.
• Prepare and administer continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation as necessary.
• Participate in the triage and urgent care of patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current state license in Michigan.
• ACLS, BCLS by AHA, PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications are required.
• Preferred: ENPC certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level I trauma center.
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and EPIC charting.
