Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

Job Description

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and regulatory guidelines. This role acts as the first line of interface with customers, ensuring their imaging needs are successfully met. The technologist actively participates in quality improvement and quality control activities and is responsible for the processing and transmission of images to the PACS system.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures following department protocols and compliance with HFAP/TJC, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Act as the primary contact for customers to ensure successful completion of imaging needs.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality control activities.
• Process and transmit images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current CRT issued by CDPH.
• Fluoroscopy permit by CDPH (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• Venipuncture certificate (must be obtained within 3 months of hire).
• ARRT-R certification is required.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES.
• Preferred at least one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Proficient computer skills.
