RRT-NICU - Respiratory Therapist Position

Schedule

Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 06:15 to 18:45. Weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for a contract position. The ideal candidate will provide respiratory care to neonates and infants, utilizing advanced techniques and providing high-quality care in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor the respiratory condition of patients in the NICU.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications.
• Assist in intubation and extubation procedures.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and capillary blood gas sampling.
• Provide education to families regarding respiratory care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT certification required.
• Current New Hampshire state license is mandatory.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Preferred experience in a Level II Trauma facility and with pediatric critical care.
