Job Description

The Clinical Staff Educator provides education and instruction for healthcare staff, focusing on clinical personnel. This role acts as a resource for all staff regarding healthcare education and training programs, introducing both technical and theoretical concepts. The Clinical Staff Educator collaborates with department managers and clinical nurse coordinators to support educational development. This position involves proficiency in simulation training and works closely with the Quality Management team to promote continuous improvement throughout the system.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate programs and participant learning, making necessary adjustments.
• Communicate effectively and convey empathy and compassion.
• Adapt to changing responsibilities and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Support the hospital's mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with Quality Department activities as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
• Current Oregon RN license.
• Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR, CNOR, ACLS, and PALS certified.
• Minimum of 5 years of hospital nursing experience, with at least 3 years in the OR.
• Experience in teaching and developing educational courses preferred.
