Job Description

The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit specializes in managing patients recovering from cardiovascular and vascular surgeries, including but not limited to open heart surgeries, thoracic surgeries, and various vascular procedures. The unit provides comprehensive care for patients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from cardiovascular and vascular surgeries.
• Manage patient treatments including medication administration and vital monitoring.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans according to individual needs.
• Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and EMR systems for patient documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have stepdown and telemetry experience.
• Preferred candidates will have experience with CV surgery and vascular surgery populations.
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS.
