This position requires night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three days per week, including every other weekend and one holiday during the holiday period.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic and Trauma Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care pre-operatively and post-operatively. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience in orthopedic procedures, including total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs, as well as trauma care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for orthopedic and trauma patients.
• Utilize Safe Patient Handling equipment and orthopedic equipment including CPMs, knee immobilizers, and bone foam.
• Maintain effective communication with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy and pharmacy.
• Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as per protocols.
• Participate in rapid response teams and utilize code team protocols as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic and trauma nursing.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
• Ability to pass a Pass/Fail EKG examination during compliance.
• License in good standing required at the time of submission.
