Schedule

Shifts will be Monday-Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with required weekend coverage based on the needs of the facility.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Wound/Ostomy Care patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with wound and ostomy needs.
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient assessments.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care tasks appropriately to available staff.
• Supervise and direct the activities of assigned nursing personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Wound Care RN in a hospital setting.
• BLS & WOCN certifications required (must be attached to submission, issued by the American Heart Association).
• Current California RN license (must be attached to resume).
