CV PreOperative Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, from 06:00 AM to 04:30 PM, with on-call requirements of staying late 1-2 times per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CV PreOperative Registered Nurse. Certification is mandatory, as is CVOR experience and completion of at least two travel assignments. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and demonstrate strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the preoperative setting.
• Perform large-bore IV starts, hair removal, medication administration, and skin assessments.
• Assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placements.
• Transport patients to the operating room and assist with induction, intubation, positioning, and skin prep.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification required.
• Critical care experience is a must; preoperative experience is a plus.
• Excellent documentation skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
