Night shifts, 4x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30), weekends required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide direct care to obstetrical patients in a 10-bed unit. Responsibilities include assessment, medication administration, carrying out provider orders, evaluating their effects, documenting care, and effective communication with the care team. Care is to be provided in adherence to all hospital policies and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to obstetrical patients.
• Assess patient needs and provide appropriate medical interventions.
• Document patient care and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Administer medications and evaluate their effects.
• Float to other units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current NC or compact state RN license.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS (must be within the last 6 months), CPI (must be in hand prior to start).
• Meditech experience is required.
