Night OB RN Nights

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position. The OB RN will independently provide holistic, individualized care for patients in the OB unit, demonstrating clinical competency and nursing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse.
• Provide age-appropriate care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gyn patients.
• Manage supplies and equipment effectively.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and personnel of the unit and other hospital departments.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minnimum of one year of acute care experience as an RN.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, and STABLE certification.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
