Registered Nurse IMC - Night Shift

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the IMC unit will provide specialized care for patients with neuro stepdown and cardiac telemetry needs. This position requires critical thinking skills and the ability to provide comprehensive care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, providing immediate intervention as necessary.
• Administer medications and manage IV starts, port access, PICC lines, and central and peripheral line care.
• Provide respiratory care including trach management and oxygen delivery systems.
• Manage feeding tubes, hemodialysis preparation, and rapid response team protocols.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
• Document all patient interactions in the EPIC system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Active SC or multistate nursing license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• 1 year of EPIC charting experience required.
• Experience with cardiac and neuro patient care, including telemetry and dysrhythmia management.
