Schedule

Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights. On call/callback required, with floating, holidays, and weekends per unit needs.

Job Description

The Operating Room (OR) team cares for a diverse range of patients across various specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma in a Level 1 trauma center. The unit utilizes two Davinci robots for multiple services and supports a transplant program involving livers, kidneys, and hearts.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients in the operating room.
• Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in specialty cases, including but not limited to transplants and orthopedic surgeries.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License in New York State.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Two (2) years of operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred.
• Experience scrubbing and circulating in surgical procedures.
• Robotic surgical experience is highly preferred.
• ACLS Certification preferred.
