Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

The Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse provides specialized care for critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex clinical situations and enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in critical condition.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Utilize advanced medical technologies and protocols in patient care.
• Perform nursing tasks such as EKG interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and procedural sedation.
• Float to various pediatric units as required, including PICU, NICU, and PHOC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a pediatric critical care setting.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS preferred.
• Active New Jersey or Compact nursing license required at time of submission.
• Experience with EPIC, CVP, CVVH, hemodynamic monitoring, and various pediatric procedures.
