This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12.0 with rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge per unit needs.

Job Description

The RN in the Psych ER will be responsible for conducting intake assessments, planning and providing nursing care, making nursing diagnoses, consulting with behavioral health staff, administering medications, and maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
• Plan and provide nursing care for patients based on assessments and diagnoses.
• Recommend treatment options and assist clients in understanding their emotional issues.
• Document all patient information accurately in medical records.
• Assist in maintaining a secure environment for patients and staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York RN License required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience is required.
• CPI certification preferred, with hands-on training included.
