Job Description

Under general supervision and according to specified procedures, the Phlebotomist performs routine laboratory activities such as patient receiving, venipuncture, computer data entry, and other related duties including lab clinical functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and other laboratory duties in accordance with established protocols.
• Receive patients and manage patient flow efficiently.
• Enter data accurately into laboratory databases and maintain records.
• Ensure patient comfort and confidentiality throughout the process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 6 months to 1 year of on-the-job experience in venipuncture required.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Michigan Driver's license and the ability to be insured by a HFMG Insurance Carrier.
