7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 x 12 hour shifts, every other weekend required, 3 out of 6 holidays required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The nurse plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patients' needs, identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnoses, and functional health frameworks.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of patients.
• Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia & lymphoma, in an inpatient setting.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card - Certified by ONS.
• Education: ASN required (BSN preferred).
• Licensure: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
• Preferred Certifications: Telemetry, Chemo Certification with ONS.
