Day shift with early or late start, 24-hour call every 3-4 weekends, and 1-2 weekdays. 5x8s.

Job Description

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist prepares the Cath Lab for Cardiac procedures, assessing and fulfilling patient needs. The specialist performs hemodynamic and control room duties, completes patient catheterization reports, and correlates the analysis of invasive and non-invasive tests. This role also includes performing Cardiac Cath Lab procedures while maintaining proper sterile techniques, practicing radiation safety, and transporting patients.

Responsibilities

• Correlate the analysis of invasive and non-invasive tests to recognize the need for additional intervention and report findings to the Physician.
• Perform hemodynamic and control room duties with a working knowledge of equipment.
• Prepare the Cath Lab for procedures according to standard operating procedures, ensuring proper supplies and equipment set-up.
• Practice radiation safety to protect staff and patients.
• Perform and monitor patients' stress tests.
• Complete other duties as assigned to meet departmental needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current North Dakota Medical Imaging License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association.
• RCIS or RCES certification is highly preferred; candidates with ARRT will be considered.
