Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work in a rehabilitation setting, focusing on providing exceptional patient care. The PTA will engage with patients recovering from various conditions, including strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, and orthopedic injuries. The role emphasizes improving individual functional abilities and enhances the quality of life for patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to patients and monitor their progress.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and rehabilitation techniques.
• Document patient care and updates in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) or skilled nursing facility (SNF) required.
• Must have knowledge and skills in treating neuro, orthopedic, and cardiac conditions.
• Strong teamwork, communication, work ethic, and responsibility are essential.
