Four ten-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Day off during the week will rotate.

Job Description

The Mammography Technologist performs high-quality breast imaging (mammograms) using specialized equipment. This role emphasizes patient care, positioning, radiation safety, and producing images for radiologist interpretation. The technologist is also responsible for equipment maintenance, quality assurance (QA/QC), and record-keeping to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as MQSA.

In addition, the technologist guides patients through screening and diagnostic procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding, and may assist with additional breast imaging modalities such as ultrasound or biopsies.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality mammograms with a focus on patient care and positioning.
• Maintain radiation safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct equipment maintenance and quality assurance (QA/QC) tasks.
• Document and maintain accurate records per regulatory standards.
• Assist patients throughout screening and diagnostic procedures.
• Support additional breast imaging procedures when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of Mammography experience (Required)
• ARRT (M) Certification (Required)
• Bone density experience (Required)
