Job Description

The CVOR RN will perform scrub duties during cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, vascular, and hybrid vascular surgical procedures under the supervision of a physician and circulating registered nurse. This role requires clinical competency and accountability in providing care to patients across all life stages, including special populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in departmental operations as directed.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills in clinical situations.
• Perform procedures consistent with approved nursing practices.
• Administer medications safely and monitor patient reactions.
• Implement current medical regimens while ensuring patient safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Operating room nursing experience in cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and hybrid vascular surgery.
• Experience caring for infants, children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and the dying patient.
• Demonstrated clinical competency and fulfillment of hospital and unit-specific competency requirements.
