Schedule

Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM, 3 shifts of 12 hours each. Every 3rd Weekend, Holidays as needed, On Call.

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level with minimal supervision and performs essential functions including:

• Producing diagnostic radiographic examinations through patient positioning and proper technical factor selection.
• Restricting the radiation beam for non-exposure of unaffected areas.
• Performing portable x-ray examinations in various settings including patient rooms and emergency rooms.
• Developing exposed x-ray films by processing methods.
• Maintaining an orderly x-ray room as directed.
• Preparing radiopaque contrast media and assisting physicians in administration.
• Performing administrative duties related to scheduling, patient instructions, and record maintenance.
• Providing patient assistance based on individual needs.
• Identifying and addressing the needs of diverse patient populations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care facility.
• Must possess New Jersey State License.
• Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Must meet requirements for the National Registry and pass the examination.
• Experience in emergency room and OR settings, as well as portable pediatric procedures is essential.
