Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 7:30 PM - 8:00 AM

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Cat Scan Technologist performs computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. This role assists with interventional and therapeutic procedures while ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex CT procedures with professional judgment.
• Collect and document patient clinical histories in PACS.
• Prepare and review contrast questionnaires with patients and families.
• Administer contrast media according to physician prescriptions.
• Communicate with radiologists and referring physicians for appropriate exam verification.
• Verify insurance and obtain outside studies for comparison.
• Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions.
• Maintain compliance with safety and procedural guidelines, including lifting and standing requirements.
• Adapt care based on patient demographics and health conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning.
• ARRT Certified R.T.(R) and NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within three months of hire.
• ARRT (CT) certification must be achieved within twelve months following hire.
