Shifts available: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM & 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, with flexibility for weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will provide immobilization devices, operate nuclear medicine equipment, and evaluate radio images using the PACS System to ensure proper identification and diagnostic value. The role requires adherence to radiation protection protocols for both staff and patients, along with accurate record-keeping and maintaining contamination-free conditions within the workspace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
• Perform radionuclide procedures, including organ imaging and function studies.
• Calibrate equipment and assay radio nuclides.
• Maintain records of radioisotope receipt, use, storage, and disposal in compliance with regulations.
• Assist in clerical duties using various systems for patient scheduling and processing.
• Rotate work assignments as necessary, especially between Cardiology and PET/CT.
• Greet patients following A.I.D.E.T. standards.
• Identify and address the specific needs of the patient population served.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a busy hospital setting as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Must hold a valid NJDEP license.
• ARRT or NMTCB registry required.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
