Job Description

The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in our region. Responsibilities include managing conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for high acuity medical and surgical patients.
• Administer ACLS protocols and advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage per titration protocols.
• Manage antihypertensive drips, sedative and Narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, and other critical interventions.
• Oversee patient care including the use of HFNC, BiPap/Cpap, and oxypendent equipment.
• Implement infection prevention protocols and ensure adherence to care standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Epic experience is required.
• Competency in advanced hemodynamics and acute patient care.
• Preferably large scale adult PCU experience and community hospital ICU experience.
• Current ACLS certification required.
