Job Description

Provide professional nursing care to patients following established standards, practices, and healthcare techniques. Demonstrate competence in making professional judgments pertaining to patient care. Assist providers in patient care and education. Actively participate as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care and treatment including examination, diagnostic, and treatment procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments, utilizing various types of medical equipment.
• Engage effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to coordinate patient care.
• React calmly and effectively during emergency situations.
• Communicate clearly and follow instructions from physicians.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
• Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS); BLS certification must be renewed every two years.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines is a plus.
