Job Description

The Occupational Therapist evaluates, selects, performs and/or directs assistance in educational, vocational, and recreational activities designed to restore maximum function to physically and/or mentally disabled patients, upon physician's referral. The therapist works collaboratively with the family and health team members regarding the patient’s abilities and goals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Select and perform therapeutic activities that promote physical and mental recovery.
• Collaborate with health team members to achieve patients' goals.
• Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and goals.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Eligible for or possess a current Oregon state occupational therapy license.
• Current valid Oregon driver's license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of physical disability and rehabilitation, along with mental health concepts.
• Strong communication skills and effective teamwork abilities.
