Job Description

The Physical Therapist is responsible for directing physical therapy services under the supervision of the Director of Physical Therapy. This includes coordinating and supervising department operations, administering prescribed physical agents, and maintaining performance improvement activities. The Physical Therapist will participate in quality improvement activities, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and oversee efficient department operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage department operations while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local laws.
• Evaluate and reassess patients, developing individualized treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families about rehabilitation and therapy options.
• Document patient care and maintain proper records in accordance with policies.
• Train and support departmental staff and collaborate with other healthcare providers.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment and department space.
• Address psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Three (3) or more years of experience in physical therapy preferred.
• Current California licensure or certification as a physical therapist.
• Knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and disease processes.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
