Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech is responsible for performing CT examinations on patients and providing appropriate care tailored to their needs. The position requires a strong understanding of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan, enabling effective assessment and care for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic CT examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation.
• Exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures, applying principles of radiation protection.
• Maintain patient records and files, ensuring quality assurance in departmental practices.
• Assist with invasive procedures and maintain knowledge of these procedures.
• Consult with referring physicians and ensure adherence to ethical and compliance guidelines.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement activities and assist in inventory management.
• Act as a mentor, supporting new staff orientation and addressing clinical or technical questions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current ARRT in Radiography or ARDMS in one category (Abd or OB/GYN).
• BLS certification required within 45 days of start.
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years.
• CT experience and certification are mandatory.
• Must be able to perform diagnostic exams related to assigned modality.
