Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice, guiding patient and family teachings, and overseeing the activities of other nursing personnel within the ICU.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical condition.
• Monitor hemodynamic status, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and responses to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, particularly in critical care
• CCRN certification preferred
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
