CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Four 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with one or two on-call shifts during the week (7:00 PM to 7:15 AM) and one full weekend of call every 5 weeks. Flexibility in schedule is required to meet patient care needs.

Job Description

The CVOR RN must scrub and circulate in the Cardiovascular/Open Heart operating room, providing exemplary patient care. The nurse may also be required to float to other operating room suites including General, Ortho, Neuro, and ENT, primarily circulating but not scrubbing when floated.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate in the Cardiovascular/Open Heart operating room.
• Support patient care by being flexible in schedule to meet unit needs.
• Float to other OR Suites (General, Ortho, Neuro, ENT) as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an OR RN with recent expertise in Cardiovascular/Open Heart OR.
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
• Prior travel experience is mandatory.
• Experience in large, academic teaching hospitals is required.
• Epic experience within the last 2 years is non-negotiable.
• Reliable transportation is necessary as public transport is not available in the area.
