Labor and Delivery Nurse - 12 Week Contract

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse to provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. The successful candidate will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and education for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team.
• Participate in identifying solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure implementation of those solutions.
• Provide a wide variety of professional nursing services in the Labor and Delivery unit.

Schedule

This position is scheduled from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other weekend required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (not obtained through AWHONN's course).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
