Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse population with various needs. The RN will be responsible for managing patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patient conditions effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatments.
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Manage cardiac drips (no titration) and provide other advanced nursing responsibilities as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and ICU experience.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification required at the time of submission.
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date.
• Epic experience and familiarity with cardiac drips are required.
• Must be nicotine-free and pass a negative 10 Panel + Nicotine drug screen.
