• 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
• 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM
• 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description

The Emergency Department registered nurse will provide care to patients ranging from newborns to geriatric individuals in a busy emergency department setting. The facility operates with a capacity of 10-14 beds and has a structured staff that includes RNs and ED techs. Telemedicine and Telestroke consultations are utilized to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and assessments using the ESI triage scale.
• Manage IV insertion, drips, infusions, and EKGs.
• Provide procedural sedation and apply restraints as necessary.
• Transport patients when required, potentially using ambulance services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the emergency department.
• Must have charge nurse experience.
• Experience with Epic EMR from within the last 2 years is required.
• Certifications including AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, TNCC, NRP, and NIHSS are required.
