Labor and Delivery Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse to provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. This role requires utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team.
• Participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure the implementation of solutions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in labor, postpartum, and special care.

Schedule

This position is scheduled from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, three days a week, with a requirement to work every other weekend.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience is required.
• 1 year of experience with Cerner is required.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification is required.
