Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist. The role involves preparing for cardiac catheterizations, PCI (STEMI) procedures, and other related interventional procedures. The successful candidate will monitor and document hemodynamic data and provide assistance to the physician before, during, and after procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in cardiac caths, PCI (STEMI), and interventional radiology procedures.
• Monitor, document, and calculate hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Assist the physician pre, intra, and post procedure.
• Assess and manage access sites, communicating effectively with the physician.
• Adhere to call protocols for the Cath lab.
• Prepare patients for procedures as needed.

Schedule

Shifts vary between 7 AM to 5 PM and 8 AM to 6 PM. Call duty is mandatory, with an expectation of 7-10 call shifts per month.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
• RCIS certification is preferred.
• BLS, ACLS & IABP experience required.
• Cardiac Cath lab experience is essential.
• Interventional Radiology experience is a plus.
