Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This position entails planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. The RN will identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
The role involves developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. The RN initiates assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework while performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing care.
Documentation of care is based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. The RN advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery, providing patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
Schedule
This position is scheduled for 36 hours per week, with shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Every third weekend is required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant specialty
- Must hold a BSN, NRP, and RELIAS certification
- Required certifications: BLS-AHA, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, NRP
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, Advanced AWHONN or EFM
