Day Shift: 4x10-Hour (06:00 - 19:30), Monday through Friday

Job Description

The Radiation Oncology Therapist will simulate and administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. The therapist will work closely with Radiation Physicists and Dosimetrists to interpret treatment plans and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation treatments while maintaining audio and visual surveillance of patients.
• Consistently position patients accurately for treatment and annotate portal images.
• Observe patients for side effects and report any unusual reactions.
• Utilize digital cameras for documentation of treatment positions.
• Participate in daily chart rounds to coordinate patient care.
• Conduct patient simulations and maintain treatment equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of one year of Radiation Therapy experience.
• ARRT National Radiology License and Oregon Board of Medical Imaging state licensure required.
• Successful completion of a Radiation Therapy program.
• Experience with Varian TrueBeam, Edge, and Aria preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
