Job Description

The Surgical Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is seeking an experienced RN to join our team for a night shift assignment. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide specialized care for post-surgical patients and those with neurological conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and monitor vital signs every four hours.
• Administer medications and manage non-titratable drips.
• Provide post-surgical care and maintain cardiac monitoring.
• Adhere to CIWA protocols and administer fluids/electrolytes as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure in Alaska.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with IVs, phlebotomy, tracheostomy care, and CPAP machines.
• Strong background in post-surgical, neurological, and cardiac patient care preferred.
