Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday).

Job Description

The PICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Candidates must have a strong knowledge base and hands-on experience in critical care nursing, particularly in pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the PICU.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition with appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU critical care experience required.
• 1-year cardiac experience strongly preferred.
• Active New Jersey or Compact nursing license required at time of submission.
• BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred.
• Experience with BIPAP/CPAP, ventilation management, and telemetry monitoring is essential.
