Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Nurse to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing skills and be prepared to manage various patient needs within the medical surgical unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Provide support to patients and their families, educating them on care processes and recovery plans.
• Assist in the coordination of patient care, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Engage in necessary floating within the hospital as per management needs and skillset.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State Nursing License.
• Minimum of 2 years acute hospital nursing experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.
• Skills in managing and accessing ports, IV maintenance, wound care, and patient education.
