Job Description

This position sets up all radiographic equipment prior to performing angiographic procedures, processes and performs quality control checks on cine radiographic images, assists in preparing patients for procedures, and assists other members of the cath lab/Interventional Radiology staff and physicians as needed to ensure timely and efficient use of the cardiac cath lab/special procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists in prepping patients, sterile tray set up, post-cath care and procedures, and room clean up.
• Manipulates equipment and sets appropriate techniques on radiographic generators to achieve optimal image quality.
• Operates a variety of electronic equipment including cardiac output computers, oxygen saturation equipment, hemodynamic equipment, pacemakers, etc., and performs oxygen saturation studies and cardiac output measurements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Cath Lab Tech Experience - REQUIRED
• Work History Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty (Cath Lab) - REQUIRED
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms Completed within the last two years - REQUIRED
• Active Certification through American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - REQUIRED
• Active American Heart Association BLS - REQUIRED
• Active American Heart Association ACLS - REQUIRED
