Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No weekend work.

Job Description

The Radiation Therapist treats cancer patients using x-rays, responsible for setting up patients in the correct treatment position to deliver radiation precisely to the targeted area.

Responsibilities

• Delivers radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescription and standard operating procedures.
• Completes all required documentation and executes the precise positioning of the patient.
• Observes and assesses patient for clinical changes and reports signs of complications.
• Applies principles of basic radiation physics, interactions, and protection.
• Completes Quality Assurance tracking and records results.
• Performs pain assessment and takes appropriate actions as per standard operating procedure.
• Assumes other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• North Dakota license.
• ARRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a specific specialty.
• Recent travel experience required; prefer 3 completed assignments.
• Epic experience required.
