House Supervisor / SWAT Nurse - Critical Care

Job Description

The House Supervisor / SWAT Nurse collaborates with units to determine appropriate shift staffing capabilities, assisting unit leaders with patient placements and facilitating transfers into and out of the hospital. This role involves working alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care delivery, acting as a resource for nursing staff on clinical skills and policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient placement from various departments and facilities.
• Support nursing staff with clinical skills and administrative policies.
• Respond proactively to urgent patient care needs across the hospital.
• Assist with emergency situations including Code Blue and Rapid Response.
• Support nursing staff in IV placements and peritoneal dialysis as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold regulatory requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Critical Care and/or Emergency Department setting.
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, BLS (AHA).
• State Licenses: Michigan.
