LPN Medical Surgical - Day 4x12-Hour Shift

4x12 Days (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend and holiday if needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled LPN for our Medical Surgical unit. The candidate will provide nursing care and support for patients with various medical issues, collaborating with RNs for optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage own patient assignments with support from RNs.
• Perform vital signs checks, pain assessments, and monitor intake/output.
• Administer medications via various routes and conduct IV therapy.
• Carry out wound care treatments and basic patient hygiene tasks.
• Communicate patient status changes to RNs and MDs effectively.
• Follow isolation precautions and manage physical restraints as needed.
• Provide telemetry monitoring and 12-lead EKG services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Single State LPN license (not Compact).
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year of acute care experience within the last two years.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
