LPN Medical Surgical - Night Shift

Schedule

4x12 Hour Night Shift (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

The LPN will provide nursing care to medical-surgical patients, with support from RNs. This role includes managing patient assignments, performing clinical tasks, and communicating patient status changes to the RN and medical team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication and monitor patient responses.
• Perform vital signs assessments, pain assessments, and intake/output monitoring.
• Implement isolation precautions and manage physical restraints as needed.
• Coordinate specimen labeling and oxygen administration.
• Conduct EKGs and monitor telemetry patients.
• Assist in wound care and basic hygiene tasks.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Single State LPN license (not compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Acute care experience within the last 2 years is required.
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
